here's how the selection process works from a guy's point of view. Begins with the attraction stage. For a guy, how can he tell if a girl has substance or not when they hardly know each other?

Even if the girl might know how to cook, how to sew, the girl wouldn't be revealing all these things to the guy if the guy didn't express interest first. What we CAN determine from the first impression tho, is how hot the girl is; it's the only quality we can rely on at this stage.

Then it's the honey moon stage, when the couple just begins their relationship. Everything seems perfect because both of these partners are cautious as to not ruin things so quickly.

And then, comes the nasty part. The couple gets used to each other, and gets too comfortable with each other. Usually the girl starts to not notice her disrespect for the guy, throws fits, make unreasonable demands, lie, start checking out other guys. And because all these things are happening, the guy quickly loses patience and interest for his partner.

From there it's just fight after fight. If the couple can hold on through all the fights, then maybe they'll be fruitful. Otherwise, one or the other moves on.
