First of all...I'm a girl and my x is a guy...and he moved on for another girl...cos i'm not "girly" enough (e.g-no push up bras or make ups or mini skirts)
Well...a guy friend told me that..it's what's inside that matters in a long term relationship...
but if the girl's not attractive enough they won't even wanna spend time to know how good the girl is inside...
and when they tell a hot hot girl that "it's ur inner beauty that attracts me"...it's mostly a lie because of course they r not gonna tell the girl "yah i'm after you cos u r hot"
Hot girls can be seen everywhere nowadays because they know that's the best way to get attention from guys...if guys r REALLY attracted to girls with inner beauty...there will be more girls who read real books, do volunteer works, take cooking/sewing classes, and go to church on Sunday mornings
And i guess some guys would say" well there r so many girls out there it's hard to tell which one's the real good one so the easiest way is by how they looks"
So i guess that still means guys will chose a better looking girl when it's time to decide...
Or there wouldn't be the rule that "the guy who lose the bet will have to give the ugliest girl in the group a ride" as a "punishment"..even tho the ugliest might be, among all the girls, the best girl...
So if that's the case...i think guys will be p*ssed when they see the one they dumped become hotter and better...

your point is correct and I probably should explain my opinion more clearly
first of all, OUTTER BEAUTY attracts attention and that's probably
the first impression a person will have on another person(girl or guy), it's a fact and people have to accept it as it is, period....sadly but true, and a fact is just a fact, there's no right or wrong about it
so before you want to keep a relationship with INNER BEAUTY, you have to have the OUTTER BEAUTY to attract the opposite sex in the first place.
Once the attraction happened, then people will start to dig deeper to one's INNER BEAUTY as the relationship progresses
of course there will be always be exceptions and that probably explains why there are many beautiful girls dating non-attractive looking guys, and handsome guys dating below average look girls.
