although my family didn't say anything, but i'm the oldest son of the oldest son of my grand parents. so i feel that i have an obligation to carry down the family line. 入贅 is not something i would think about unless my partner and I love each other very much and there is no other way to be together.

I'm in a similar situation. I'm the oldest grandson. My younger cousin is the 長子的孫, but his mom kind of moved out on their own after a divorce. So the obligation is kind of mine now. I don't think i can even do that even if there's no other way to be together.
+ it's not like marriage is a MUST now :P sometimes things are hotter when you're not married
