Almost all cars are prompt to salt-damage down the road... but Euros seem to resist salt better than domestic or even Japanese makes..... but since it's usually quite cold in winter, if you wash your car and let it sit, the left-over water would actually freeze up on your car.... usually what I suggest ppl do is, whenever you can, after driving (if it snows, and there was road salt every where), hose down the fender wells as well as underside of the car.... if you have pressure wash, that's even better..... Of course, try give your car couple coats of wax before snow hits always helps...... and spend 150 bucks or so on a good undercoating would give you that much more protection against salt....

as for the first post

i don't think just by doing to gas station would heat up ur breaks
like that...
