Having said that, sorry to hear about this kind of thing happening to you...
if you knows she works at safeway, have you tried to contact them and see when she's working and maybe you can find her while she's working there.
If it is a large amount, you can also consult RCMP or your local police station and see if there's any actions they can do to help you locate this girl.

i dont know if this is considered as theift...
but i think it might be, although she did have your consent to take the money in the first place..
i think that might be considered as fruad instead..
RCMP should be able to do something..assuming it's a big amount (like maybe over 1000?@@)
if it's a small amount..than i think u are just screwed...
