I do not know any "diet" methods. I only know
Weight loss = Calories burned - Calories consumed.
So the question is :
How to achieve max "Calories burned" and min "Calories consumed" , While satisfying the following four conditions,
1) be happy
2) regular healthy eating
3) regular exercise
4) reguar rest
That would be your homework.
P.S. It's a lifestyle. Listen to your body, it will tell you what to do.

It really depends on the person too.
For examples, 3-4 chocolate bars have much more calories than 1/2 bowl of rice. But I gain a lot of weight and my stomach feels bloated when I eat 1/2 bow of rice; while my weight remain the same and my stomach doesn't feel a thing when I eat 3-4 chocolate bars.
