Back when I was in uni, I heard about this plan. And yes you can register upper courses without being BBA. However, people who have declared major will always have priority in getting in those courses. So unless you stick your foot into someone's place when someone is dropping the course at the beginning of the semester or the course is incredibly unpopular. It is very unlikely one can get into upper lv courses without declaring BBA. Rumors of successful cases took an extremely huge amount of time to complete the degree. If memory serves, 6-7yrs.

Just got an email for the advisor. She said "yes", that is true. Just that you will need to register on the 5th day of the classes.
Well, it does seem to take up a huge amount of time. Last I heard from my frd, she's taking only 2 courses this semester. She took 3 last semester. She wants to graduate asap, just that she can't seem to get the courses she wants. To be able to graduate, she still needs 8 more upper lvl courses. She'll probably get to finish her degree when I do.
