had that problem be4 as well with TD.....
service lady was like its not their fault....
and we have to pay extra $40 interest ....
and my mom refuse to pay... :biglaugh:

u have to talk to the mandarin speakin representitives....
yeah.. usually mandarin speaking representatives are better..
man.. I wanna switch to CIBC
no more TD and no more RBC! :angry fir

actually.......

if u use any of the big 6 banks (RBC, TD, CIBC, Scotia, BMO, National Bank), i don't think you can get any good customer service. they basically dominate the banking industry in canada.

if you really want good customer service, you should try credit unions such as vancity or richmond savings.

and you really have case to argue about their service attitude. banks are in the business to provide service. i've never yet met any bad customer representative when i speak to banks (RBC, TD, CIBC, and BMO).

I think I wouldn't pay the 20 bux
if the VISA rep is so inexperience (since they don't even know how to add zeros) that screwed up ur payment
why would a customer be held responsible?
Automatic payment usually takes up to 24 hours to go through..
so 2 days is already sufficient

I would talk to the branch manager
and also to the card centre manager
even though 20 bux to them may seem like nothing
but as a customer.. we do have our rights..

so.. ALWAYS ASK FOR NAMES WHEN U MAKE A CALL
and since the calls r usually recorded as well
they can go back and listen to the calls

all the calls i made the customer representative always state their name first then ask me wut they can do for me..

switch to CIBC! i never got shit like that from them..
i only got shit from visa...visa is GAY!
they didnt even tell me i went over the limit and then charged me for an over limit fee 2 FREAKING TIMES!
and when i called and asked abt it they were like oh that';s cuz it's in the same period..
same period my ass!! if it's the same period how did i get 2 statements?!?!

I usually use online transfer too..
but I have the automatic payment set up too in case I forgot
but last month I had a trip so I kinda forgot about it
when I remembered it's already 2 days before the due date
I thought maybe the online transfer takes a few days to process
so I just thought I'll let the automatic payment pay..
and this happened :angry fir
i was told by CIBC it takes 3 working days for tansfer to go through..
but that's ATM transfer i dont know abt internet transfers though..
but i think it's faster..cuz they just have to type in numbers dont need to go collect the money..
i dont know..this one time i paid my mom's visa on the due date by telephone transfer..
and we never got any interest..
so i dont know..
but i havent been unsatisfied with CIBC customer service though..
and actually..i think the english speaking ppl are nicer..
and for TD the chinese ppl dont even care..last time i called them to do something for my mom's TD acct..
and they asked me if i wanna register for internet acct i said sure..
and then they asked me a few questions..i didnt know any of them cuz it's not my acct..
but they still gave me the password..=..="

I am thinking about switching to president's choice..

I kinda feel she's contradicting herself
when I asked her how many digits in a branch number
she said 5
and then when I was talking about the purchase interest that I think I shouldn't pay
and she said it's not their fault
I said if someone has told me it should be 5 digits I wouldn't be just giving 4 digits
and then she said some branches have 3 digits and 4 digits so they don't know
but why did she tell me there should be 5 digits when I asked her the first time?
makes me feel that she's making up excuses for herself so they don't have to take responsibility..

I think within the same bank payments can be done really fast
but my visa and the bank account I use to pay is different bank... @@
