hum..

my brother got me interested in visual communication stuff



i have already applied for AI's interactive media design

but today F1 told me about VFS



my fault that i didn't do the research before i applied for AI





the foundation visual art & design program look just as interesting as AI's IMD...



but i really don't know which school is better





my interest is maybe more in the glamorous entertainment industry

so maybe film school is better for me



and of course my main concern is that~ AI is almost twice as expensive as VFS

and since I’m paying for it~ of course I really need to find out lotz and lotz about the rep of both schools



so~~ if anybody can just give me~ something about either or both of the school~

I’d REALLY REALLY REALLLLLY APPRECIATE IT!!

i personlly know nothing about the two schools; i only heard them from my friends, etc.

but judging from "rumours", VFS is very very famous in graphic design, etc. i have not heard of AI though.

but like i said, i know nothing about the two schools except "rumours".

AI is the new name for CDIS....center of digital imaging school or something...forgot....ccc

my friend went to VFS...he graduated and got a job offer from tw before he even got back to tw..

me just grad from A.I downtown few month ago...and personaly i think if u taking the programe u want to take...take it at vfs....first is not as expansive sec..cuze A.I still new...some time their teacher is not as good...lots of change around depend how lucky you ar if u can meet a nice teacher....for looking job ...now they help ppl look for job...they basicly send your resume or ur demo or sample graphice to company to help u look for job...but i think i will still go for VFS ....A.I ..charge too much...they just want money lol...and personly i think it doesnt matter where u go study..as long as u can learn stuff and not wasting time there doing nthing thats more important...cuze some time A.I give u some useless course that u dont want to take..

i focused my questions on the foundation program since i had no previous training.

the tuition fee listed on the website is exactly what you pay .. there's no other costs, unlike AI still charge u extra for textbooks and software stuff... u should know what i'm talking about..
so for the foundation program that finishs within a year...
there's only about 1000 shortfall~ which is quite affordable .. least for me

but if you already had training and have a portfolio and still considering going into VSF, u can just jump right into their other program

the school has been around for 20 yrs

the environment is quite different from AI i'd say
it is very much film based and artsy..unlike AI's more career based training

so really depends on what you want

and if you've been to their website, you know that they have some really amazing work...

i personally prefer VFS just because i'm not really sure if i want a career in this... and... i think the foundation program can really help me choose which filed i'm interested... or even if i want a career in this kinda film/commercial production..

also today the advisor showed me the 3d animation and digital art campus.. it doesn't seem much like the office typa environment
reminded me of my old high school XD again~ very .. artsy kinda feeling i guess.... while AI gave me the very techniky feeling

i know he works with Flash, and he designs ads for his company, and builds websites too i think~
