Does anyone find their BT downloading really slow these days?

i have been downloading two files, the total download speed won't pass 50k and

the upload speed won't pass 10k.. i use bitcomet and i have checked all the

settings....Can someone please tell me what's wrong with my bt?

i just started using..my upload speed is like 5..=..="
and d/l speed is like 4..=..="

i can get TopGear and Gundam Seed Destiny at like 150kb or something

internet in general is really unstable in my area lately.

seems like bitcomet is limitin my speed instead of telus....always got limited at 160kb/s.....coz my frd on next street can get 200kb/s... :shakehead
i download the crack version of bitcomet...but still speed got limited......anyone can help me? :bow:

u using cable? i heard cable limits bt speed....
btw if u use router....u need to open the port in router to give ur comp full bt connection speed to outside...of coz the port that u set in bitcomet is the port that u have to open in ur router...

and sometimes speed depends on how many seeders and ppl gettin the files...if the file is out on the first day and lots of ppl download...it'll be pretty fast.....if no one download...and just few ppl upload...then ya...will be slow...

and if u set upload below 10.....highest speed u'll reach for download is around 90 to 100.......the faster u upload the faster u download....sometimes i set at 40kb/s max upload....when reach high download speed....i turn down to 30....then 20....then 10......coz below 10....u'll start to slow down.....just something that i experienced with bting

both of the files i m downloading now has over 10seeds/50peers...

i just found out that my http speed won't pass 50k either..

it seems like the speed wants to go faster but something is limiting it

maybe u got firewall.....or program....net limiter?....thats is slowing u down.....or maybe....shaw limitin u.....
OR....if u happen to share ur connection with someone else....maybe they are takin the majority of bandwith? @@
not sure if shaw have limited bandwith....but i know telus does....

it's no use.. if you're with shaw u're with the cable of doom. There is a little toy they bought called ellacoya. it has been widely discused in dslreports.com forums that shaw is throttling BT traffic.

that ellacoya toy they have sits at their root hub and sniffs out BT packets and shoots them down. so u get crappy speeds all the time, but when u just view web page etc. it's still fast.

so if u're with telus, consider urself lucky. if u're with shaw and u have a choice, switch to telus.
