both of my workplaces need new people badly, i mean really badly badly...

one's mcdonald's on main st. & terminal ave.:
pro: easy con: busy
the other one's white spot triple o's on cypress st. and cornwall ave.:
pro: not busy con: not easy

all my coworkers and myself are stressing out right now cuz there's no one that wants to work!

well, if u have work experience then u get $8/hr at mcd and $.15 raise every 6 months and if u ever get promoted, there's more raise, like 20, 25 cents
white spot starting is $8.10, but they do prefer ppl with experience, raise is according to the amount of work u've done and there isn't any real promotion lol just looks good on resume
cypress and cornwall, that's in between burrard bridge and kitslano beach

i have work experience, 8$ an hr with 15c raise is too low...how much does manager get?+is it easy to get promoted to manager?

well, at mcdonald's whether u can get promoted or not depends on your ability and availability
i know some cases where a girl got promoted to 2nd assistant manager in 2 months... (she was really good)
for me, my first 2 yrs i was working only 2 shifts per week, but since last yr i started working almost full time, it took me a total of 3 months to go from crew to crew trainer to team leader, and another 3 months to swing manager.

assistant manager earns about 30,000 per year plus bonus if the restaurant ranking is high.
swing manager (me!) base pay $9.40 + raise every 6 months
from crew to crew trainer 20 cents raise
from crew trainer to team leader 25 cents raise
they do require you to work at least 3 shifts (at night) if you wanna become crew trainer, cuz training shift is 4-8.
AND if you have management experience, apply for manager trainee at mcdonald's... start as a manager!

then again, how about white spot^^? i just finished a shift at white spot today, it's so.... dead... during winter. very easy job. i was doing hw during my shift.....

Home Depot is hiring lots of people. Future Shop is also hiring like crazy. (Metro and Lansdowne) Give it a shot la, seems like they're expecting a busy X'mas this year.

in my case, i didn't have any experience when i was looking for a job, and mcdonald's was the only employer that called me (so sad...). i was so desperate for a job, even though i started with $6.50, that's at least some income so i didn't have to live on student loans
if you have experience, i would say... look in the newspaper lol
