Has anyone tried it after Rob Feenie left? I heard the new chef was trained under Gordon Ramsey...

Checked out their site and menus...the Signature and Chef's menus looked goooooooooood!!!!

which did you try? i went there quite a bit before when rob feenie was still the "owner" / "chef" but have not yet tried after he left...but i heard a lot good reviews about the "new lumiere" with the new chef...gosh...mouth watering now!!! ahhh!

i think they were...but tried quite a number of dine-out restaurants for the past few years and very disappointing...including La Gavroche, Parkside, Five-Sails, and Lumiere...so decided not to go this year, just gonna stick to their a-la-carte menus...

Tried dine-out this year...portion is......small, food was okay, rose wine's good.

This year's dine out I would recommend Gusto Di Quattro in North Van. Reasonable portion and tasty.
C Restaurant wasn't bad either, rib-eye steak's juicy. You can sub your appetizer with pan seared foie gras for $15

I think the portions @ Lumiere, although small, were just right.

The Chef was very delicate with his dishes.

I would definitely go again. For instance, the Char wasn't bad @ all, and I enjoyed the Foie gras + liver parfait...better than mere Foie gras, which is a little too filling for my taste (ie. compared to C restaurant even when served with lobster) =D

i dont know...i havent had good experience with dine-outs...i mean they are cheaper then regular a la carte's menus...but quality is not as good as i think they could be...that's why decided not to go this yr...

so far the best foie gras i had was at La Gavroche...Parkside is not bad neither...C is a little off...but have not yet tried Char's.

going to San Francisco in April for business, gonna try French Laundry...hehehehe...company expense...hahahah...gonna do it again when i head over to chicago in summer...charlier trotters and tru...here i come!!! ahahah!
