I wanna do a road trip to tofino and wanna know how long it takes to drive there so I can get enough day offs from work. Anyone with experience can share?

searched on maps.google... it said from Vancouver to Tofino is about 286 km – about 5 hours 27 mins of driving

I've been there couple yrs ago~honestly I don't remember how to get there...

but as a friendly advise, taking 4~5 days should be enough. I took 3 days, and it was a bad experience. Everything was done in a rush.

Btw, there's a beach called "Long Beach" You will see the sign on the way to Tofino

u'd miss a lot of good scenery if u fly over. There's lots of provincial parks on the way and i stopped by 1 to take a look... came back with lots of pretty pictures. and the beaches at tofino was pristine! i wanna go back there again the coming summer.

so .. is it the beach where you can dig up oyster and eat ? ...

do you still remember the route to that beach ? can you share it here ?

I agree. That's why I said if I am going again next time. The That drive can be pretty lengthy and the road condition isn't necessary the best.

160km/h?? u could do that on highway... but once u get closer to Tofino... u probably need to be initial D to drive 160km/h...
all those annoying and narrow curves
