i'd say democracy is not perfect, but its the next best alternative that's available out there right now.

6/4, that is one day i m will never forget, a 7 year old sitting infront of the TV watching ppl die. hell i write my english prov exam, on this topic. lol.

PRC did not have right to kill the students, they fought for their right, who could deny that. but, as a goverment, when an event liks this happen, 鎮壓 is a must. HOWEVER, they should not have killed. if they did not 鎮壓, the whole county will go bizark. and china will not have the economy they have today...

a lot of you guys would want to see china 跨, but think about it, if china goes down, it will not do taiwan any good at all.

I'd say china should move away from Communist-like government. But its pretty hard to give liberty (eg, freedom of speech) to a billion people. Just imagine the protests. 6/4 is just one example of one protest. I don't know what is the right form of government for that many population.

Taiwan has its own problems. But yes, i would say democracy is still the right form of government in Taiwan. Social order is another issue. I don't think it got to do with democracy. I really think a lot of social problems has to do with 台灣人的心態.

Sometimes, we all should be aware that American's political system does not necessarily match people's needs in either China or Taiwan.

Maybe, Taiwan should develop its own political enviornment.
