yeah i totaly agree with CK... sometimes I find it even more difficult to find alot of veggie selections in chinese restaurants!! and they sometimes do look at you weirdly...
but depends tho, cause they still have onions and garlic and some of the realy pure budhist vegetarians can't eat...

oh and also some east indian restaurants have really good veggie meals!!!

the funniest thing i have experienced is from japanese restaurants, especially the ones that are owned by japanese.

"do you have any veggie foods?"
"yes ~ we have salmon sashimi, tuna sashimi, ..............."

西方將素食區分成許多類型, 其中之一即是魚素, 這些人除了吃魚之外, 其他與素食者無異
日本人很多所謂的素食者, 即是屬於這一類的
所以囉, 他們會問你要吃那種生魚片了......真是糟糕.........
