anyone knows the differences between the MINI SYSTEM(the平常大小ㄉ) and..MICROSYSTEM(the really small 音響)??
heard that microsystem's sound quality is better~is it true!?
cus i wanna buy one recently~
dunno if i should buy a minisystem or microsystem~

Mini systems are for dynamic power .. powerful base, 3d feel that kinda thing. Micro systems more pure performance type. those elegant hi-fi feeling. but they also go pretty deep cuz some of them will have sepearte subwoofer.

so.. personal preference. for me, micro systems. if ur really into sound quality, get sepeate bookshelf speakers.

is there a particular brand u have in mind?

ur welcome!! i like audio stuff!!

what i meant by going pretty deep was the "bass". so bass is not that weak with external sub.

to be really honest, i really doubt if u can get a sony under 300 (including tax). try maybe panasonic or others.

for the subs, i don't think microsystems under 300 can get sub output. "usually" what happens is that if the system comes with a sub output, a sub will be included. (maybe starting around $500 or so; give or take $50).

i am not familiar with the pricing on single unit microsystem subs. but i am sure u can check them out in computer stores. they'll
have single unit subs available.

one thing to be careful when buying these systems is that CHECK THE MADE DATE. some will have them, some may not. but it'll be better if u check the model number with the internet. if u can't find the model number, chances are its an old model. and because most, if not all of these mini, or micro systems are made in china or other developing countries and since all companies are trying to cut cost, the internal materials and components used in these systems are being simplified. therefore, it is not surprising that problems may occur after a couple years. so i'd say anything pre-2000 would be considered "risky".

i saw a AIWA micro system at Costco~
its design is not bad~and multicolor LCD display~~kinda cool~
and with subwoofer output~
but the sub isnt included~
kinda wanna get that one~~
but i dunno if AIWA is good....

however, which electronic company is famous for the mini or micro systems?? i honestly don't know... hahaha but if u really go into hi-end systems, teac is a really strong brand. expensive too.

anyways, here is a picture of the jvc that i like.

but i believe it costs around $600 or so. (before tax)
