I am new here to 604, though I consider myself oldie in Vancouver. I would just like to share some of my recent experience with u guys....

最近I have received about 6 calls from Shaw cable saying I download or uploading too much...
Man, I don't know if u guys do the same...
but they said the usage of internet is unlimited...
And me and those shaw cable ppl came down to a point where...he said he is gonna slow down my connection speed..

By slowing down the speed i thought it would be just slower downloading speed and all that...
but it's not..
they just cut off my cable modern connection without telling me :angry fir :angry fir :angry fir :angry fir

so i ended up having no internet last night..
and was thinking about using ADSL from now..on...
what do u guys think...?
any ADSL user here?

what do u prefer more cable to ADSL?

both are 6gb down and 2gb up, i think

why was I responsible for this crap..
we paid them so much..
they should be getting...better upload download band..
than...telling us not to use it so much ><
and...they shouldnot even cut people's internet..
did they cut yours?

yes!! i got a call from shaw about 1 month ago or so too!!
they called me and told me that i downloaded and uploaded too much..
(approximately 50 something GB)...
sucks man... i thought it's unlimited!
(since shaw didn't tell me that it's limited to 6gb download and 2gb upload...)

so he refuses to upload too much now

i am using AIC's ADSL lo...
they say its unlimited but i havent actually download a big amount yet
i know Telus's ADSL has limit lo....
u try try first ^^

shaw and telus is very cheap, actaully

in the US...companies liek shaw would charge 120 bucks a month, man

so...be grateful...

i download about 2-4 gigabytes per week, i haven't recieved any warning yet :) but my friend's apartment recieved warning b/c they have 3 connections, and 2 computers were downloading taiwanese/japanese/hongkong shows too much...
