no la..get a kitten .... kitten in general is more active then grown up .. and it is more cute !! ...

grown up cat is not that playful ....

also..as for teaching... you really can't teach a cat that much... Cats aren't dog....

but one good thing about kitten is you can teach them where to scratch and where NOT to scratch .....

well.... my GF usually just keep talking to the cat .... and it usually works...

one time.. we bought a new bed for the cat....and the cat just wont go in her bed... then my GF talk to the cat like "mimi...that bed is bought for you ga .. it is very comfortable ga.... it is your bed" .... ..then afterawhile... the cat just walk in and sleep on it..

in fact.... according to Animal Psychics.. animals do understand when you talk to them......

and I think it works to certain extend....
