| I think the DEN(8) VS SEA(1) way back in early 90s
is a classic example of an underdog beating a potential champion
Kemp and Payton were in top form and Mutumbo(yeah, he was still playing for DEN at the time, you can imagine how long ago that was)
I never watch the game 'cause I probably wasn't playing bball at the time
but that DEN team never quit, I think they were down 0-2 and came back to win 3 straight.....so in NBA playoffs, first round 5-game series is where the biggest upsets would happen
but I doubt if any no. 7 or 8 seeds in both conference can have an upset this year
except maybe the Grizzzz....I know the Suns run the best offense
but Griz is like one of the better defensive teams, and if J-Will and Gasol can all of a sudden turn into Wad/Shaq form(highly unlikely never the less).....
if I have to pick a 'black horse' to win it all, I'd go w/ DAL....I think they are as deep as any other team in the league and has the best bench along w/ SAS.....if they can get past HOU, they can definitely play the up and down style in facing the Suns, and a deep enough bench to compete w/ SAS |
