About TL I usually like the top of the line cars. I'll be so dumb if I buy a normal TL. Ignore 260HP?!?!?!?

Ya I agree Altima's interior is kinda cheap. Maxima is more to my taste in terms of interior luxury. I'll probably give another test drive today because I don't believe Nissan will produce a transmission like what I drived earlier.

About VW I really don't know. Several of my friends are having problems. My dads Sienna is over 100K now and its not having one single problem.

TL and the Type S model is $4,000 apart. I personally think the changes are worth more than $4,000.

European models typically are more troublesome than Japanese. Earlier models have eletric problems. Japanese manufacture pride itself in excellent reliability.

why not? i previous car was a maxima, but i didn't think it's that big of a deal. compare to camry, maxima wins in every perspective.

Maxima is better than Camry V6 and Accord V6.

Like I said, I will go test drive the Maxima again. If the transmisson is really like that, then I won't consider it.

About TL, although I really like the TL Type-S, they are really another Camry, Accord except the HP. The interior features/functions luxurious is almost identical however just for few thousands more. The sound system in TL is really horrible. My Solara's system surpasses the TL by a large margin. They can go for ES300's luxury however I think that's not Acura's market plan. TL in Acura is a affordable luxury sedan. After the new accord come out, I think either than the HP, it will be very very similar between accord and TL. This will probably come down to TL is more expensive simply because it's an Acura.

I have read an interesting article on normal car brand and luxury car brand. I'll post in a new post.

TL is based off extended Accord platform. It has the same J series engine as Accord V6 difference been the .2 displacement. The interior is definitely not the same level. Accord V6 have lower quality leather, sound system and 4 speed automatic.

ES300 and TL compete for the same customer because they are both FWD and based off company's bread and butter economy sedan. Just like I35 is a glorified Maxima.

About the Maxima, I test drove it today again. The result is, the accel pedal is VERY sensitive. Probably because the HP is much higher however when I test the TLS it wasn't like this. So I'm not used to it. After a longer test drive, I was able to get used to it and its transmission. Now I'm really considering the Maxima.

I read that article about sound system before and I was REALLY REALLY shocked to find TL to be up there. It's listed with Lexus' Mark Levinson, Volvo's system, BMW's Harman-Kardon!!! Personally I've listened to every sound system above and I think TL can't even compete with my Solara's JBL system. I poped in a 周杰倫 CD when I'm testing the TL and its bass sound really really shallow and inaccurate. The high-notes are acceptable however still can't compete with my Solara. That was one of the reasons I don't want to go for the TL because I really want a good sound system without going aftermarket. After testing the Maxima's sound system today, I find it to be pretty good. It's probably better than my Solara's.

Having a reponsive throttle is better.

I still wouldn't buy Maxima though

i really think maxima is the best among Camry, Accord, VW Passat, (i know nothing about american cars :) )
it's got good power, good stereo, and good interior..

go test drive more, the decision is urs
