If he isn't getting TL Type S or Impreza WRX Wagon. I would wait for the 2.3L Mazda 6. I want no part of the Duratec V6. The wagon version is fairly nice too.

I will probably wait for both the Mazda 6 and Honda Accord to come out. I know Mazda 6 is coming out end of this month. Anybody know when the new Accord is coming out?

New Accord is september. New Acura Sedan is next spring. Next gen TL is next summer.

New Accord don't look too nice. According to those spy pics I think it looks pretty bad. If the new TL's going to based on that, then.....

This is a bad time to buy family cars, so many changes coming up.

just out of curiousity
why doesn't ur parents go for say TL-S or the Lexus ES300

they are pretty much family cars too
and no they don't really attract attention coz they are common on the road as well

luxury cars that attract attention would be high end car like Lexus SC430, LS430 not the ES or the Acura TL

This is a bad time to buy family cars, so many changes coming up.

You will see the Accord at the media reveling on June 19th I think.

TL is very likely to move upscale since Honda is releasing a smaller 4 door sedan. I see the next TL based upon a shortened next gen RL platform. Which would allow it to share the RWD and V8 engine. RL should grow to compete against luxury flagship sedans. TL should grow to compete against luxury mid-size sedans.

Their conseption of cars is commuting. Which means traveling from A --- B in comfort, reliable, and safety. That means cars like corolla are too small and that equals not safe. TLS, ES300, GS400, 330, 540 etc. are too much for a car. It attract people's attention and you don't need a car that expensive to commute. American made car is very unreliable car to them. I think that's the best way to describe my parents view of cars.

Yes it's not that big but more than enough for you. You are only buying a 4 door sedan to mimic family car. You aren't really using it as family car.

I'm not into C-Class type small car.

Anyways, I got your point. Your point is don't buy the Maxima or the Camry.
