That's why you use small turbos. Which takes less time to spool up. Also you can use sequential Turbo like Supra and RX-7. One boost from low rpm and one boost from higher rpm.
talkn about supra, toyota going to replace that car?
mazda is replacing RX-7, and Nissan 300ZX

Supra is a sweeet car!

This is the Toyota FXS concept shown in Tokyo Auto Show. Toyota says it is sight into the future for it's next sportscar. It won't look like that but shouldn't be too far off.

4.3L V8 in the Lexus lineup. Toyota engineers wants to tuned it up to 550 hp.

BOV is used to let excess pressure. That pssshhhhhhhhhh sound you hear from turbo engines.

Sequential Turbo means 2 turbo boosting at different RPM point.

No the one in S4 is parallel turbo because it spool up at the same time.

Everyone who wants more power will compare the two set-ups.
You may say one is better, and the other sucks. And the guy next door will say differently.

IMO, turbo has more potential, but SC is better balanced.
Depends on how you drive it. If you want to boost HP quick, you are not bothered by the lag (even bi-turbos have lags if you upgrade them), and you enjoy sustaining top speed on straights, then Turbo has your wallet and Mastercard on it.

If you enjoy handling the car left and right, and do not like to wait for the power to surge up, then get SC.

FYI... Just recently a good friend w/ a 450hp Supra went to Mission while it was raining, and he had to shift before 4,500rpm for every gear - any higher and the 2nd turbo would kick in and spin the rear. But, without a doubt, turbo cars have so much more potential... just how you want to use it is the difference.

Oh and it depends on what car you drive too!

:)
