Smart move, if you don't care about how "new" your "new car" is.
I personally think it doesn't matter at all. If you love something, then age is not such a critical concern.
As for the Boxster...
If you want to find cheap and clean Boxsters, good luck finding it in Canada. Let's see... each year Canada sells about... for example... 150 Boxsters. BC represents less than 1% of the North American market.
Now, if you go to the States and look... they sell at least 20 times more Boxsters than we do. California and Florida combined represent more than 65% of the NA market.
So logically US will have more used Boxsters, and supply will be greater.

PS. You never say you want to find a new Boxster or a used one... are you looking for a place that sells new Boxsters for lower prices?
