Skyline 350 GT-8 been out for some time now. Skyline was initially offer with 3.0L VQ30DE engine at start up along with smaller engines.

it's not really a true "8 speed" tranny. a CVT is a CVT...

the 8 speed is just preset settings from Nissan that simulates 8 different gearings by varify the different ratios on the CVT tranny...

so if you think about the... a CVT have 100.. or 1000... different gears... cuz it's the ratio differents variable..

Isn't VW has a CVT system that's suppose to be faster then manuel? Techincally CVT is better then maneul...eh?

Audi has a CVT call Multitronic. It is used on A4 but only available for FWD versions.

CVT are faster than conventional automatic using torque converter. It burn less fuel than automatic too.
