I was going downhill from sfu
put my heavy bag on the passenger seat
was going at 85 km/h into a turn
and in neutral (stupid)
thought i was going too fast so i stepped on the brake
then the bag fell and hit the gear shift
and shifted it into R
car went into skid
and lost all power steering and brake
thought i could make it down to the bottom of the mountain
so i stepped on the gas
but the it got stuck so it kept accelerating
then I had to shift into Park
and pull the hand brake
it skidded again >.<
almost died that day

It sounds like an automatic transmission.

it used to be an automatic 4 runner with the buttons on top of the stick

i know.....but there should be shift lock from N-R.

there should be no shift lock from R-N, R-D, D-N etc.

not necessarily
there is no shiftlock on my car, my car is auto

i don't need step on gas unless it is when i am shifting from P
