What is the most horrible thing you've encountered while driving?

heavy rain, 90 degree corner into smal small street, balded front tires, took the corner at usual speed of 35km/h during dry time
half way thru the turn, ASR activated, car skidded sideway, almost hit the opposite lane TRUCK, about 10-15cm away from hitting the truck, finally regain control and go straight at the direction i wanted

needless to say, I scare the hell out of myself

My story, it just happened tonight while driving from Richmond to Surrey.

It was around 9:30, I wasn't driving, my dad was. We were in a Sienna, driving around 120km/h on Hwy 91. Then there is this old Pontiac car (around 15 yr old), from behind, I estimate it's going at least 150km/h, passes by our right side (we were in the fast lane), and over take us. It narrow miss the car in the slow lane and got in front of our car less than 1 car length. Then after it got in front of us, it starts to slow down. First around 90km/h, then 80km/h. My dad didn't really bother changing lanes because we were talking. Then it slows to around 50km/h. As expected, a lot of cars behind us switched lane and over-take us. So my dad got a little impatient, he changed to right lane, trying to over-take it, it then change to right blocking our way. We change to left, it change to left. This sequence goes on for around 10 times. And the whole time, it was doing around 50-60km/h on Hwy 91 blocking our way.

After around 10 min, the car pulled off. We were pissed but decide not to do anything about it. Because whoever is driving this car is looking for trouble.

well, in my 6 yrs of driving, and my dad's 30 yrs, we never encounter such thing.

we were mad, but if we really went at it, i guess it won't solve nothing. the person is looking for trouble. maybe the person got pissed off when we were doing 120km/h and we should slow down to let it cut us off. because he narrowly miss the car in front. that is only my speculations though.

if i'm on my solara, then it probably will be a different story. i will AT LEAST flash/honk the person.

i still don't get why the person is pissed off. i don't get why we should slow down to let it pass.

actually my friend and I encountered the same situation in his 330Ci, he was pissed, i was pissed I threw my bbt at that car..u saw the drink's lid came off and splashed at the windshield
it was an american old car too

they wanted a little chat when we got to the light, my friend and I came out, he went to the back take out his friendly bat and as he ready to chat with them, they said no more chatting needed and came bak into their car

I was going downhill from sfu
put my heavy bag on the passenger seat
was going at 85 km/h into a turn
and in neutral (stupid)
thought i was going too fast so i stepped on the brake
then the bag fell and hit the gear shift
and shifted it into R
car went into skid
and lost all power steering and brake
thought i could make it down to the bottom of the mountain
so i stepped on the gas
but the it got stuck so it kept accelerating
then I had to shift into Park
and pull the hand brake
it skidded again >.<
almost died that day
