Guys...
Chill...
Whatever situation calls for different treatment and different solutions.
If the limit is 50, you are doing 75 like everyone else, and someone wants to tailgate you and flash their dick-on-the-palm at you, then do as you please with him.
If the limit is 50 and you ARE SLOWER than everyone else (you'll know when there's a big line up behind your ass), then I don't think you need to reply to this thread with too much effort. :) I don't think Suzuka wanted to know about what you'd do if you are the 2nd type.

actually i wouldn't bother playing the guy behind me if he's just trying to pass me, and i can't care less if a 16 sec car driving like they have anything to prove. i stay around the speed limit.
but i've seen it too many times some people think tailgating is fun. and i might as well have some fun with them.

and how often does those things happen? even so that guy would be better off calling an ambulance than driving like a maniac risking other people's life. the ambulance will get the emergency patient to the hospital faster.
and i don't think it's that hard to tell if the guy is solely picking on u or is really in a hurry.
Apparently not often enough in Vancouver. But don't test it. You will be carrying the guilt if it so happens that the guy you are toying with behind you has his little boy bleeding to death because you served your purpose and delayed him for 5mins. Don't be so hasty of judging all tailgaters as roadrager.

As for calling the ambulance instead of driving to hospital, well, how often do you know exactly where you are and can accurately lead soemone to your location on the road when you call 911? When you are on the road and someone's badly hurt, it would be a great deal faster to drive to a hospital instead of looking up the map, then hoping the operator would understand where you are over the phone.

In anycase, do what you feel like. Just don't tell the cops "I drive 30km/h and made it impossible for him to pass me because I wanted to get even with him for tailgating me" when they come knocking on your door.

the point is......

we are talking about tailgating here.....

if he is in a hurry... he will horn badly and we will know that is an emergency for someone....

it is NOT difficult to judge....

it's easy to tell if it is tailgater or something else... don't u think?

yah drive the patient to hospital, have the "badly hurt" patient lying back seat enjoying the lateral inertia of the car. while the driver drive like a maniac, run over some pedestrians, and end up wrapping himself around the pole. sounds like a real good idea.

why not just spend that few mins, call the ambulance, have the patient well taken care of on the ambulance while it rolls to the hospital without any obstacle?
tailgating is stupid, period. there's nothing to proof on the public streets. as long as the driver drive above 40(i think that's the lower speed limit) he/she should not be harassed.

Yet, you are talking about coming to a complete stop to piss tailgater off?

Guess you gotta go through it personally to understand it.

Point taken. They won't be tailgaters then. :)
