i'd take the McLaren F1 over this car anytime

almost the same performance (except top speed, but where the hell are you gonna go 400km/h huh??? maybe when u're late for school?)and costs less... and looks a HELLA better than this big peice of... THING!

Nope V10 doesn't sound as nice as V8 or V12. V12 is the cream butter of them all because it's basically just 2 inline 6 placed in V configuration.
but how about performance?
why the F1 car will chose V10 instead of V12?

There is too many variables for performance..... Degree of joint, Material, Displacement etc etc.

F1 cars choose V10 because they adopted the rule. Most manfacture decide it was better to build a high reving V10 because of the given displacement range (3.0L-3.5L), weight requirement, safety, packaging etc etc.

Side note V12 will produce more top end power but in a peakier way. So then the issue of driveabilty comes to play.

MOst F1 engines r only used for like couple hr and the race weekend, they produces very high rpm

with V12 it creates more internal friction, lower the rpm, and will be a bit heavier

um... isn't the engine have to use it for all the race in one season if i didn't remember wrong
you need to change it when it has mechanical problem isn't it?

Nope the engines are tear down and rebuilt after each weekend. The engines itself probaly last a few hundred km's before it wears down. The forces and abused those engine goes through are amazing. Stat say the top engines make 4.6 hp for every 100 RPM with Rev limiter set at 18,000 RPM.
