The US proteges has much more equippments than Canada proteges
for example, they have the silver face gauge, tweeters, side marker, new style alloy tires, and new style MT shift knob as standard. they also has sports shift and leather seats (which cost 900 USD each) as options.
about the Turbo P5, as my understanding, it will have about 200HP under the hood (which means more boost for the turbo), and will have everything that Mazdaspeed 3 has. it will be a limit edition, and it will come out at the end of 2003 b4 the new generation of protege comes out in 2004.
as for the sports shift, it's pretty quite when down shifting, but not as good when up shifting...so don't expect the performance that RSX's sport shift from this one.
