a comfortable 4-Dr sedan? or more performance oriented rides?

for comfort and convenience, and reliability, there's nothing better than a Camry or Accord

if he wants the above features PLUS fuel efficient, then Toyota Corolla or 4-dr Civic (1.6EL...but they dont come cheaply)

why dont u ask your friend to finance the car?
that way, he doesn't have to shell out 10G all at once, and he can get a p/t job to earn the $$ to pay for monthly payments
