ha, ya, get an IS300. .but then again, IS300 is slow compared to TL/TLS ( 225/260) or Altima 3.5SE ( 240hp)~~

It really depends on what priorities 怪腳七 wants... he wants fast, or luxury?? Roomy?? Or personal car......

Not sure about how much better New Accord would be compare to TL... sure it has more HP than TL, newer designed chassis and interior, but there are features you don't get on Accord, too, like HID, memory seat, 5-speed auto(except Accord EX V6), SportShift(don't think Accord has it)...etc

Besides, you can probably get a good deal on left over TL/TLS later this year since 2004 model is only less than a year away...

EDIT: Almost forgot, you have to take the "New-Car-Bugs" into consideration, too.... IMO, 1st model year usually = glitches here and there in designs....

Withing your price range, Altima 3.5SE and New Accord EX V6 probably are your best bet.... Jetta VR6 with 5-speed would be as fast on HWY though... but it's smaller inside out, and you MUST go with manual... auto VR6 is a slug.... Maybe you should wait a bit... for the new Acura... either new Acura TL or the smaller TSX(I think that's what it's called), which is based on Euro Accord...

Or you can try get a good deal on TL... :) Which shouldn't be too hard consider that brand new design is just around the corner...

agree with AKRY, if you want to pass on Highways, 03 Accord EX V6 is your best option, considering inside out... 3.5SE is real nice, but i really have heard crappy complaints about the interior material, and i bet accord will be a lot better! at least from the pictures anyway~ :)

TLS is due to a change quite soon, just dont know when~~ otherwise, take TLS anyday too!! even though its a bit more expensive, but its worth it!


PS. i heard 03 Accord will be available in HID, at least in states! isnt that right??

In terms of engine I still prefer Nissan over Honda. VQ35 in the Altima have more torque over the TL-S, which means you can have a better passing power and more power for uphill. You also get "drive by wire" throttle which is higher technology than the TL-S. The Altima 3.5SE is appox 330lb lighter than the TL-S and HID is one of the options in the Altima 3.5SE. In terms of speed, there is no doubt the TL-S is faster, but it cost a bit more.

Gear ratio is more cricial for HWY passing.. Torque doesn't play that much of a role... Honda's V6 are more high-revved than VQ35... you have to keep the revs up there....

So, far, not sure if Accord would be available with HID, but Altima definitely does NOT have HID in Canada though you can get one with HID in the States.....weird marketing if you ask me....
