Anyone own or driven Jaguar X-Type 3.0? What do you think about it from the experience? I want real hand-on experience not experience u got thru reading magazines or just by looking at the car
i have test drove it at MCL when i went MCL at beginning of summer. but i didnt drive it for too long, only like around 2-4th street around burrard since i was just doing a check up service there. I dont actually know too much about the car other than drove it once. I think the car is pretty nice, same old jaguar driving experience. great handling, decent power. I dont like the front panel setup.. looks cheap compared to VDP.. nice seat, but small driver room.. ( compared to VDP) but its a little bigger compared with my car. Seat feels great and comfortable.
umm. thats all i could think of right now... why? you gonna get one?? :) :) we could refer you to a sales manager for MCL Jags if you seriously consider to get one~ :):)
IMO, X-Type isn't really a bad car.. nicely finished inside, decent power(3.0)... but seriously, would you want to have a fully loaded Ford Mondeo with Jag exterior?? For the price of a fully loaded X-Type 3.0 w/Nav, you can get a BMW 330i with Premium and Sport.... OR 330Xi with Premium....
yes i am thiking of getting one....however I don't like the current 3 series styling after they did the minor redesign which looks like a small new 7 which looks like C-R-A-P and not to mention Jaguar's interior is way better than the 3 series (no offence to those of you who owns the 3, each has its own pros and cons just that I have more emphasis on the interior)
IMO, Jaguar X-Type looks way better than 3 series, that's why i am considering it

however, they only have the 2003 models right now and with MCL being the only dealer for Jaguar, it might be impossible to get any discount at all
so ya I would like to know the name of the sales u are referring to.....thanx

If I were you, I would consider MB C320 or Audi A4 3.0 with that amount of money.
X-Type has a great look indeed, but I just don't feel like spending so much money for a Ford engine under the hood. If you look carefully, you will find that the same engine is also used to power Ford Escape, Taurus, Mazda Tribute, Lincoln LS V6. It's the modification that makes the engine a bit better than Ford's. Other than that, they are pretty much the same.
C320 and A4 3.0 are both V6. Both engines are as powerful as X-type 3.0. And their interior is not far behind X-type. Maybe you should go test drive C320 and A4 3.0, then make your decision.
I drive a MB now, just want to try other cars that is not MB, not that I have something against it or anything as a matter of fact I love my car and I am not trading it in for the X-Type (if I do get it that is) also I want a AWD, kinda tired of the FR now and with winter coming up soon i rather drive an AWD car to school instead of torturing my own car
and my parents are not fond of the A4 (or Audi for that matter, I don't know why but I actually like Audi and would really like to give the new A4 a try) even though I was considering it too...so A4 is out of the list
and ya I know the engine is based on the Ford engine but I like what i felt during the test drive..and with modification, it makes it a Jaguar engine nevertheless.....and with your analogy you could basically say every Audi is a VW underneath and I am sure Audi drivers wont' like that......anyway that's not the point and I am are not in a hurry of getting one so we are still taking our time and explore our options....btw 2JZGE please let me know the sales...thank you

but for the same price... I'd get a G35 coupe, since you are not in hurry to get a car right now anyway.. and then get a pair of nice rims with extra budget!!
