painting calipers isnt already rice enough?

hehe....I'd rather save up and buy a Brembo or Baer's brake kit :)

it's especially rice when u have punic calipers....LoL

thank god the P5 uses the 626's caliper and rotors...so it doesn't look too bad when painted

if you don't midn showing ur license plate then no worries.

the reasons is that theives might try to track you down base on your plate number. They'll know what parts are on your car, security system or not.

so don't be surprised if it's gone one day....

yeh...gotta wachout man...u dont know what sickos are out there trying to know more about your car so they can jack it more easily - especially when your car has some serious ICE in it

that's what happened to my friend...he was showcasing his setup on RS (like how it was installed and all dat)...2 days after his system was complete, it was jacked, in the UBC parking lot, $12,000 worth of ICE gone...

personally i won't put anything expensive in there
because afraid of thief

also if painting calipers is rice
many factory comes with it already *like 25th anniversary golf*
and my front calipers is big enough for paint so it won't be rice (at least bigger than most Japanese cars)
for the neon lights under car is consider 100% rice
because the factory won't come with it
and well also it is illegal

yeah saving up for changing brake pads and slotted rotors
but for the whole brembo system it cost about 3000 CAD
I dont' have that much money
and it might over kill my power because i dont' have much horsepower

Factory painted is different from DIY ones. They dye is made into the caliper not painted so it is fade free the colors won't peel off and block your brakes or anything.

a better brake system is to help you brake later than others on the track/street, gaining the advantage of that extra car length or two thru corners...I dont see why it will "over-kill" your power...are you saying a big brake kit is going to add weight? (and more moment of inertia?)

Bigger brake system will definitely add more unsprung weight to your car.

Personally I believe stopping fast is more important than going fast. You can always count on it in emergency manuvers.
