there is only one way to drift with FF cars(to me that's the only way coz' i don't think loosing control or handbrake drift are considered drift) and it's easy. put some bicycle width tires at the rear(ie: non stock-size spare tires) and u'd be drifting like mad.

If this is the only way you define a drift..which is without using handbrake to break the car loose.....then ok...:shurg: you can hardly drift a FF

but even if you drive FR or MR, it doesn't mean you always don't use handbrake for drift

with correct suspension setup and with some decent tires (I'm talking about decent tires all 4 corners) you can drift a FF car no doubt about it.
.
That's what the 96spec ITR was famous for. The tail was very willing to step out so that it helps correcting the understeering problem, and if you drive it too abruptly it will drift like a FR no sweat.
.
and FR <> drift. I drove both early and late model 240SX at AutoX track before, the stock setting on that car prevents it from drifting however you drive it, even if it is equipped with LSD.:shakehead
.
Not to mention the early model 240SX is SUPER SLOW even compared to the 1.6L AE86:shakehead :shakehead
