I think it changes the time/RPM where VTEC engages, if I wasn't mistaken..... So, basically you have control of WHEN VTEC will kick in as well as fuel/air mixture.....

haha i do know that VTEC is from honda only, because i heard that the same VTEC conrtoller will probably work on a VVTL-i, so i am just making sure if that's true...~

by the way i drive Celica GT-S :) :)

it works similar to VTEC, but from Toyota(or Yamaha...?!) instead of Honda

actually VVTL-i is not similiar to VTEC, they work differently. it's rather similiar to i-VTEC but different implementation
