The Coke/pop bottle is in use to cover the opening of the electronic wastegate. After removing the complete stock air box, the electronic wastegate will be left open. The coke/pop bottle is there to protect against any large object to fall into the opening when the engine is off.:)

His Avastar says 3SGTE... SW2x MR2 Turbo... (plus twin entry turbo on the engine gives it away). :)

yes but the 89-92 early models are twitchier than the later ones. Toyota changed the suspension geometry after SMC. To corner in a engine modded turbo pre 92 MR2 with relatively stock suspension bits you are either very good at it or you are commiting suicide.

that's why the MRS came out........turbo Mr2 is too powerfull.....very hard to handle.....especailly on wet road....it's killing me on rainny days!!!!

TTE did make a 1MZ-FE MR-S though... now that's nutty!!! and to think I was going to do a 3SGTE into a SV21 Camry... in FWD... hmm... maybe lucky I didn't!


I like the AW11 .. been in one but never driven one.... very hardcore car that hasn't aged that much (well more than the hachi). Maybe if I have some cash lying about, I'll get one of them. No S/C came down here so an engine conversion is the only way to get a S/C here.


Either that or it's a MX83 Cressida with a 1JZGTE.... granny car that kicks @$$!!!
