a 3.5?? I don't think there are better engines than VQ35 from Nissan that can be positioned sideways

RB26 does not have a transmission that will allow you to mount the engine sideways. You might as well forget about it unless you wanna pay the amount of $$ you paid for the car just to do enough work to make the RB26 fit into your car (new transmission from scratch with differential integrated alone costs a hell lot of $$ doing it one-off)

With that said, there is no direct "step up" engine swap for your car at all.

don't forget the wiring, electronic control & fuel supply system.... yah it could be custom set-up but do u really wanna spend over 15k just to be a guinea pig(not to mention u'll probably leave ur car in the shop for half a year)? plus i don't think torque steering will please after the swap is done

Since u also post on NWN u might be better off asking there, ATEB guys might be able to help u out. last i checked they do import RB26 at a price around 5k. but as for as i'm concerned swapping an RB26 is not quite feasible since it's longitudinally mounted. if u really want power and don't mind torque steering then u can consider the HKS TT kit for VQ35 which is probably going to be released soon.
