Odometer

as you guys know, I just imported a FD from the states, and I would like to change my speedometer from MPH to KPH, and I am wondering if any of you know how to roll back the odometer...

Easy.. take it apart for the analogue ones and rebuild it... digital ones.. depending on what car, replace the dashboard but I'm sure the memory isn't so easily located.

Alternatively, why not just disconnect the speedo cable and just drive around with 0km/h constantly?

I am not so sure about what your saying, what do you mean by "rebuild it"?! did you mean that there is sth behind the odometer that I can adjust the mileage?!

well, because I want to keep the mileage in case i am gonna sell the car in the future....

well, because I want to keep the mileage in case i am gonna sell the car in the future....

I mean pull the whole unit apart and make up a dial figure as you like. I'm sure you have to break something to actually get into the unit and maybe better & cheaper to find the dials off another car with lower milage and just putting that in. That way you can get that converted to KMH as well as getting lower k's without pulling out anything.

It's against the law to alter your odometer in any way. That means no rolling back the mileage you have driven since taken ownership.
