You are probaly talking about secondary driver coverage. This allows you to drive the car but primary insurer should still drive the car more than 50% of the time.

definitely ask your insurance agent about this... even if you are not primary driver when this happened.

alot of ppl might not know this, ICBC is a non-profit government organization. Their objective is to break-even only. They are trying to get out from liability b/c they are losing more than they earn.

I have a problem too..
I crashed my car several months ago and got a ticket because some fags called the police.
Today I got a letter and said I need to pay another 300 bucks because of drive without consideration.

You should have got the person the car was insured under to go with you and claim that person don't know english or something so you speak for that person. The adjuster is right that you are not paying the right rate because if you are the primary user of the car but the car isn't under your insurance then it's against the ICBC regulations. Don't bitch at people for doing their job get yourself knowledgeable first.

If ICBC comes to this conclusion it means they have seen enough evidence. You have to remember everytime you get pull over your vehicle is tracked by ICBC or everytime you report a claim through ICBC etc. Since 2003 ICBC had been cracking down on vehicles use by non primary driver. You are lucky you didn't get a fine as ICBC have the rights to do so up to $100,000.

next time when ur family is gonna get another car... remember to get ur friend's name on the insurance paper as well...
