save some $ and get ur self a suspension kit
u will be happier for the long run

BTW i don't see anything wrong with used spring as long as they have no rust on them

there's nothing wrong with getting used springs

just be sure to check for rust

if it's rusted, then it's not a good investment

other wise, there's nothing wrong with getting used springs
and you can save a lot of money too

Of course it is always best to get performance shocks to go with the lowering spring that you are going to put in, especially if you are getting race springs that drops your car over 2" or so.

But if you really don't care about the ride and your shocks, and just want to make your car looks lower, then by all means, do whichever you feel like doing.

DIY is not really that hard, but if you have never seen people done it, and don't have the proper tools, I would suggest you do it at a shop or some mechanics that you trust.

The overall process isn't hard, it's about putting them back together in the right place and torquing them to the right spec, and your own safety that should be taken into consideration.

but hey, it's your car
do what you seem right to you

remember to get alignment after your DIY.
it's a must, otherwise you'll pay significantly more when you find camber wear on your tires.
