I would pick the MZ3 for its complete package. The Sentra is just like swapping a big engine into a small car ( a similie to the Sentra situation is like swapping a Vigor I-5 into a Civic sedan), it's not anywhere near balance. But bang for the buck it beats the other 2 cars...Mazda3 buyers might consider engine mounts and suspension bushings upgrade right away, that way the Mazda3 will lose its axle hopping behavior and be a truly refined car....But that's just me. As for the Sentra, whatever you put in there will not change the fact that the car is front-super-heavy and wrong-wheel-drive - a combination of nightmare for any automotives...Whatever you do to it it's still not refined - It might be fast but it's rough fast. If Mazda 3 is a balad dancer, the Sentra is a rapper. Some ppl like that so for those who like stabbing on the gas and say goodbye to the car next to you maybe Sentra is more suited to you. Despite the 03-04 model looks a bit funky those versions appear to have less problems than the 02 model. So for the "hassle" factor maybe a 04 model is considerably more desired. I hate it when people say products from a certain country are destined to be crap, but the Sentra kind of proved me wrong. SE-R has the mexican pricetag thus it comes with average Mexican quality too. my friend's 02 car has the following non-recalled problems: Interior rattle, broken glovebox (it came off!) and poor OEM fuel management causing severe backfiring everywhere he goes.
I might test drive the Ralliart some day and tell you about it...
