Oh man i gotta sell my car asap for one of those!!! :biglaugh:

seriously $12000 is too much....I don't know how much paper work or shipping cost incurred......but it's too much for a 1988 Silvia

Such old cars in japan are basically retired, it has virtually no value, nobody wants to drive this unless they really love it

I would have thought a car purely for the track wouldn't be too bad since you don't need to comply it with any regulations.

no i think it's legal now......

finally those oldest silvias and skylines met the 15yr old rule!

especially good news for skyline.....since the oldest R32 would be 15yrs old in Dec2004, we might be seeing a lot of skylines running around town as early as 2005!!! :biglaugh:

damn, again, i gotta sell my car asap to get myself one of those!

it's legal to drive a right hand drive car and insured in canada base on the 15 yrs rule

and i saw a AB company selling a 89 Silvia K for $8000+tax

for around $10000 is not that expensive i think
if you buy a 240sx coupe here (really hard to find) for around $5000, engine (CA18DET) swap for $3500 include labour, front end conversion for $1500, total will be $10000

You'd want a SR20DET over a CA anyday.

Hmm.. 15 yrs rule.. we've got something like that but that loop hole is closing soon for us I think. It'd probably close for you guys too if the trend of cheap Japanese cars flood the market.

Anyone thought about Crown, Celsior, Cima? Pimping VIP style!
