Pre-owned Nissan Maxima is great. I am driving a pre-owned 97 Maxima SE, and the car runs just great!! The car is virtually problem free. And the award winning VQ30de engine is really quiet, smooth and powerful.

You might also wanna consider Toyota Camry and Honda Accord. BUT I prefer Maxima...^^

well, vertually all the jap cars are reliable other than few exceptions

Rotary engine cars - RX7 FB FC FD (unless they have been VERY well taken of or ur a mech urself) NONO!!

Tercel - Just in general the worst engine that toyota ever made

Turbo cars/Supercharge cars - In general, if you want a reliable car avoid these ones

Heavy moded car w/ ported engines - shorter engine's life

anywaz, in general, IF the car is very well taken care off (oil change, tranny fluids change, didn't get beaten by the owner, reguler maintaince and service) then there shouldn't be big problems.

American cars? i don't like them, so... but in general, i think they are not as reliable as the japanese cars.

Europeans cars? Luxuray, should be reliable, but i've seen a lot of my friends got many tiny problems... not big deal, but just annoy.

If you are looking to by a problem free 2nd hand car, look for ones that made lafter 1998 and the lower the mialge the better `~~~ happy car hunting!
