my friend told me that they dont actually safe u much money...
since u have to add preium gas anyways..
plus becuz they are not estabilished yet alot of them still got bits of problems that will eventually lead to fixing costs...

i dont know..i like the idea...but i wouldnt buy one just yet
but they are quite as hell which is a big plus for me! lol
eventhough i dont have money yet..XD
maybe when i have enough the engine will be established enough that i will consider purchasing one..XD

Not all hybrids need premium gas only my I think. I haven't heard of too many troubles on Prius hybrid system. The most expensive future bill will be the battery which last about 10 years depending on condition. They cost couple thousands to replace so you better take care of them.

People shouldn't buy hybrid to save money cause you won't. You buy hybrid to use hov lane in states. You buy hybrid to save the planet because it produce less emissions. You buy hybrid because it's ususally top of the line model cause it's so expensive. Hybrid saves gas in city driving especially stop and go traffic other than that it's not much different.

yes, a study was done before....

the amount of fuel you saved.. vs amount of premium u pay to get the hybird model over regular model will take you years to even out.

so at the end u're not really saving much.. Except for the fact that you can go out there and tell ppl your car is a green car.. you care about the planet.

but then again, hybird is the trend things are going now. it's not just about fuel economy any more.. it's also about performance... I think give it a few more years when newer and more efficient hybirds come out, then we'll be able to see a greater saving in fuel economy to make it worth the extra premium
