you say that, but do you have anything to back that up?
people swap to sr20 cuz it's JDM TIGHT. that's all, just like when civics used to be cool, everyone gets them. All the D1 drifters uses sr20 cuz tehy know how to fix\modify it best. So all the bandwagoners wants to be just like the professional drivers.

Some people just don't understand. The old saying goes "there's no replacement for displacement"

sr20det has 4 500cc cylinders, and the ka24de has 4 600cc cylinders. That's 400cc overall.

The final cost of turbo'ing a KA24DE cost less then the sr20 swap. You can put in a turbo kit for the ka24 for about 1500 if you don't want super pricey parts like greddy or hks kits. sr20 swap is over 2500. Plus if you blow the KA24, you can replace it for cheap and parts are readily available. SR20 needs to be shipped from japan still. If that's not enough, SR20 needs like 97octane recommended in japan, that means the cost to maintain it is even higher then the turbo'd ka24

i can go on and on about this, i've spend over 3 years in the s13 scene before it was the drift trend

If you do all the job by yourself . You only need 1k to finish the KA24E or KA24 DE with turbo. And using MS system to reprogram the ECU what you like. The MS system around 300 only.
