| 回覆: What is the best car you see in your school / workplace? i'm with f0rbidden on this one. I've earned everything i owned since 19, (a little late start there). I did borrow money for school from parents tho, i'm almost done paying that off..
In the old days when i was still young, I knew people that learned to drive on M3 or Type R and the likes. When I drove my crappy EF civic to richmond, all the other punks were leering at me in their BMW with their hot girl friends. I have to admit I was pretty pissed.
So I grew up a few years, worked a bit, met a buncha people.. and I saw things differently. We all exist in the society with our own asset. Asset in this case is something we offer to the society in order to make a living.
For most people it is a talent or skill related to the profession we're in. Those little rich asian punks seemingly doesn't have any skill, but in fact, having rich parents IS their asset... I have talent in architecture and graphics design, the little asian punk has capital from parents that can be invested to make money. Suddenly it all seems like fair game.
I'm on my third car now.. still a second hand car, because it's a mazda it's resale value is crappy.. so i was able to afford it despite being an expensive model when new. I treasure it a lot because it's what I earned and even tho it is cheap I'm still proud of it. In fact, it still looks pretty sexy being an old car.
When I was in BCIT i didn't see many nice cars.. I guess not many asians have classes in NE1 building... I recall Mecedes E class, stangs, vettes, tricked out EGs, ludes... that's about it. |
