there's no such thing as platonic friendships between opposite sex... sure i DO agree that men and women can be friends, but CASUAL friends only... when it gets to the level of being best friends with each other and talking on the phone or going out all the time then there's something fishy about the relationship... ppl will deny it but cmon, you all know that the reason for you to want to hang out more and talk more with that particular friend from the opposite sex is because u are attracted to her/him somehow...

all of those so-called "platonic" friendships almost always turn out to be something more, either one side comes clean with the feelings but gets rejected, or both sides try to work things out or something along that line... but NEVER EVER would there be pure friendship, hey-buddy-let's-hang-out-and-chill, or anything like that when the friendship involves a guy a and girl... big no-no.

so yeah, if you have a friend that fits those descriptions i stronly suggest you to take a good hard look at what the both of you are trying to get out of this relationship... cuz trust me, when things are out in the air, u ain't got much time to make the right choice to which might change the whole outlook of your little "friendship" forever...

girls are evil, guys play the devil. nobody wins unless u're being true to what u're feeling on the inside.

sometimes yes i guess...but only if you treat tat person like he/she's yer sis/bro tho....

and tat have to be both ways too.....otherwise it'll be totally like Snowman-R's saying....tat person hanging with ya is gotta be up to something, just tat person him/herself may not realize it....

just think about it... why would u want to call her/him often and chat for hours if there is nothing more than casual friends.

i think most of the time people hide their feelings for their friends becuase they're afraid of losing that friend indefinitly if it turns out that she/he doesn't hold any mutual, romantic feelings for the other side. and it's that fear of losing a potential love mate that keeps people from being true to themselves, thus ignoring what they really want from the other person.

it's really hard to cut it lose tho... espeically when u've put in quite a lot of effort and time to try to make it work out, just like any serious relationships that consumes lots of your engergy and stuff like that.

anywayz, GUYS and GIRLS can NEVER be JUST FRIENDS. Casual friends, yes, best friends? you gotta be kidding me :shakehead
