I think both sexes could think wrongly under different circumstances
but since guys are more active, they would just take action if they think a girl may like him more than a friend
while girls might prefer to wait and see...

yes I agree both sexes may like someone who only thinks of her/him as a friend but I think usually girls can sense better if that guy really likes her or he just treats her like a friend..
but most guys tend to think that girl likes him if she just treats him nice

i agree with that!
i know many guys that started to treat me as more then just a friend after i got to know them better and started to treat them like good friends...
how i treat good friends and just friends are very different..
according to some of my guy friends, guys will easily missunderstood my treatment of them..they will think i wanna be more then just friends..
but that is not the case..

regarding the girls, not that they sense better, but girls tend to be more protective, and 'reactive' of herself, thinking if the guy doesn't confront her and say he likes her, than she will just assume he's a fd even if she likes him....'cause they are afraid to say it out and then if it turns out he doesn't like her, girls would feel pissed off....they think if they like that guy, then that guy should like her back since she really likes him....:shrug: somehow I sense that's how girls react, of cos I could be wrong 'cause I am a guy

then in that case, probably the guys you were talking about actually had a feeling(not love or anything deep) for you and want to get to know you more....if a guy is clear that he sees a girl only as a fd, then he will not think wrongly no matter what the girl does....I think ppl should be clear-minded as to why they want to be fd with the opposite sex, is it just a fd or a little more than a fd

well..i've done stupid things before with a guy friend of mine..

girls are more protective..
when I like a guy friend, unless he takes real actions, I'll just think he just treats me as a normal friend..
I don't dare to think he may like me back.. :S
