I don't see you being spending lots of money if u just buy food, home use items..... I think those are MUST items. I can't say u r wasting money if u buy those stuff. Communication is very important. You should ask him why he bugs you for spending too much. There must be some reason, but I don't know your whole story. Try talk to him.
