Cuz skin-renewal = take off the very first couple layers of your skin, yet these layers will NOT re-grow back. That means, your skin will get thinner than thinner. The side effect will be: 1) red face because your blood vessels will be more visible; 2) you will get freckles amazingly faster than normal people that's why you have to constantly avoid direct bright sunlight and feel very inconvenient; 3) your skin will become more sensitive than before because your skin is now as new as baby and you lack that rough skin layer to protect your real flesh.
If it's because of freckles on your face, do laser treatment. It's basically a colored laser, then your skin will absorb the color and the freckles will be gone after the "mix of color of your freckle and the laser".
